Nosara Beach Nicoya Guanacaste

A favorite area of retireds North Americans and Europeans, Nosaras has bad roads that get worse in the rainy season. From Samara Beach, you have to cross three narrow rivers and navigate 28 klms of potholes to a series of gentle beaches you reach by individual entryways. Non are much different from the other, but there are some of the best accommodations near Playa Guiones. The farming town of Nosara itself lies inland about five km.

The drive north from Samara Beach, despite haury river crossing and a bumpy raod, is very pleasant in long stretches as you motor through farm country  in the land between the mountains and sea. The frist big beach you come to before Nosara is Playa Garza, a fishing community.
