Jungle Adventure in Costa Rica

Costa Rica Jungle Adventure

Day 1 - Overnight in San Jose.

First day, we will stay at Country Inn & Suites hotel located only 7 minutes from San Jose Airport. At this place, you can visit shopping mall in case of any last minute need. Very important is to bring your repellent and sun protection.

Day 2 & 3 - Heading to the first Adventure: Pacuare overnight Rafting trip

Pacuare River White Water Rafting tourDeparture at 06:00am. Heading to Turrialba town, hosts of the Pacuare River. The same 18 miles of rapids are covered in the One-Day Rafting Adventure but at a slower pace, which allows you to better enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the Pacuare River Valley.  For the first day, part of the river is stretched into a whole day of rafting by adding several short hikes that explore towering waterfalls and scenic, hidden canyons. In the evening you stay at a jungle tent camp on the banks of the Pacuare River but don’t worry about roughing it—this is ‘luxury camping’ where mattresses, full bathrooms, and personal chefs are just part of your ‘Pacuare’ experience! The morning of the second day is the real treat, a hike into the rainforest to a local village of the Cabecar Indigenous Tribe. After the hike, you head back out to the white water and raft out the rest of the river. This combination of nature and adventure is the perfect ingredient for an unforgettable Costa Rican vacation

Day 3 - Overnight in Guapiles town

Day 4 & 5 - Tortguero National Park

Tortuguero National ParkDark brown waters in the 160 km of inland canals crisscross untamed, low-lying forests and mangrove swamps of the northeast region, allowing traditional means (motor boats) of transportation between tiny villages and plantations. The Amazon-like canals provide a window on the environment and are a wonderful way to see birds, monkeys and other wildlife. Of the 16 endangered mammals in Costa Rica, 13 of them are found in the parks or nearby. The 405 bird species recorded here, dwarf the number found in the entire European continent. But it is the sea turtle that everyone comes to see. No matter how far they roam, turtles, like children, invariably come back to nest on the same beach where they born.
