Day 1

Arrival to San Jose Airport.
One of our representatives will be waiting for you at the arrivals gate of the airport holding a sign with your name clearly printed on it. Then, you will be driving to Atenas town to stay at:

• Car Rental Pickup at Vista Atenas

The Car Rental Company will deliver your 4x4 at 3:00pm at your hotel door. You must to present a valid driver license, valid passport, credit card which covers deposit and rental.

Day 2 & 3

Arenal Volcano

Arenal Volcano is the most active volcano in the western hemisphere and its presence dominates the northern town of La Fortuna. The farmland around is a deep green, primary and secondary forests blanket the midlands, and towering above it all is classically cone-shaped Arenal - smoking, rumbling, spewing car-sized boulders and spitting red-hot lava that lights up the night sky.

Famous for its nighttime lava fireworks, Arenal Volcano towers above a lovely lake of the same name. It has plenty of natural activities, eco-adventures, and the lake is particularly popular with fishermen and windsurfers. The thermal springs at the base of the mountain offer a refreshing dip any tome of the day. The Volcano itself rumbles frequently and, if not socked in by clouds, is very impressive and just a tad exciting.

Monteverde Cloud Forest

The Monteverde Cloud is a diverse biological wonderland that contains old-growth trees, favored habitat of the spectacular quetzal. But it is also home to 400 other kinds of birds, including 30 types of hummingbirds and such odd specimens as three-wetted bellbirds and bare-necked umbrella birds. Ground-dwelling residents include the powerful jaguar, the ocelot and the tapir, 2,500 species of plants - including 420kinds of orchids - and 1,200 amphibian and reptile species. Because there is so much to see, it´s best to have a guide who knows where to look for wildlife in the wild. The foggy forest boasts six distinct ecological zones. Since its inception, the preserved region has grown rapidly - both in size and fame - and now covers 10,500 hectares and sees well over 50,000 visitors annually. Bordered by Santa Elena and Children ´s rainforest, plus Arenal and San Ramón forests, the area is one the Costa Rica ´s most important protected ecological zones. Entrance into the park is restricted to 150 people at any one time.

Playa Hermosa Guanacaste

Playa Hermosa, has developed in the last few years, thankfully with smaller properties. It has gray sand, flat and lined with trees, and is a favorite with swimmers. This beautiful beach is located between Playa Panama and Playa del Coco.
